Plastics for goodness

Plastic is hazardous to the environment and health, this is what you have been hearing these days. But here is an interesting factor about plastics. If plastics are used in the right sense, they can protect the environment. Now how can this be possible? Plastics which are used in packaging can  significantly reduce the packaging weight, and thereby reduce the use of energy . Overall, the use of plastics can reduce the greenhouse emissions. If plastics can reduce the weight of packaging material, more products shipped with less packaging, fewer trucks on the road which means lesser pollution . It also means that lesser material is used for recycling and reuse.
